Ephesians 6:10-11 (ESV)

[10] Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. [11] Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Talk About It

Have you ever dressed up like a knight or a hero? God gives us “armor” to wear—not metal or plastic, but spiritual armor! The Bible tells us that life is sometimes like a battle, not just on the outside, but inside our hearts. Sometimes we feel afraid, tempted, or unsure of what’s right. That’s when God tells us to put on His armor: truth, faith, righteousness, the gospel, salvation, and His Word. These protect us like a shield and help us stand strong when things are hard. But we don’t put on God’s armor all by ourselves—He gives us the strength! When we trust in Him, read the Bible, pray, and act on what we learn, we’re safe from the things that can hurt our hearts. Remember, God is always with you, helping you stand firm and stay safe. You can count on Him for the strength you need every day.

For Parents to Explain

God, thank you for giving us your armor. Help us trust your strength and stand strong for you every day.

Family Activities

Armor Dress-Up Relay (Real-Life Application)

  1. Gather fun dress-up items—hats, belts, shoes, shields, etc.
  2. Have each person “suit up” with an item and say which piece of God’s armor it reminds them of.
  3. Race to put them on, then celebrate being strong in God’s strength!
  4. Pray together, thanking God for each piece of armor.

Armor Shield Craft (Creative Reflection)

  1. Cut out a large shield shape from cardboard or paper.
  2. Decorate the shield with words or pictures for each part of God’s armor.
  3. Write the Anchor Verse (Ephesians 6:10-11) on the back.
  4. Display your shield somewhere to remember that God makes you strong!

Family Prayer

Invite everyone to ask God to help them with one piece of His armor they want to use this week.
